Lifesong Harmony School

Lifesong for Orphans (Canada)

Lifesong for Orphans (Canada) is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to discipling future leaders through biblical truth and educational excellence. Lifesong for Orphans (Canada) is currently overseeing 4 schools: Lifesong Harmony, Lifesong Garneton, Trade Academy, and the Gap Year Centre. Between Lifesong Harmony and Garneton, over 1,300 children from JK – Grade 12 are receiving a quality education, daily meals, medical care, and discipleship at no cost to them. The Trade Academy and Gap Year Centre are opportunities for students to develop hands-on transferrable skills that will help them become gainfully employed within their communities. Some of these skills include mechanics, food preparation, tailoring, and bricklaying.

Lifesong also provides safe homes for students who have been identified as living in especially at-risk situations. These boarding homes are a chance for students to have shelter from unsafe conditions, focus on their education, and most importantly, experience the love of God from their house parents. Currently, over 250 students are living in safe housing.

Unlike other schools in Zambia, Lifesong provides education to some of the most vulnerable children in their communities who would otherwise be unable to go to school. Both Harmony and Garneton schools are fully staffed by local accredited Zambians who are professing believers in Christ.

Lifesong for Orphans (Canada) has also become involved in creating sustainable businesses. Currently Lifesong has 5 sustainable businesses in Zambia: Lifesong Lodge, Roast Café, Twalima Farm, Baluba Valley Farm and the Berry Farm. Each business offers fair wages for employees, creates career opportunities for Lifesong graduates, and supports orphan care projects such as Lifesong schools and safe homes.

Since 2011, ACCMBC has been involved with Lifesong Harmony School through sending work teams, raising funds for mission needs, and facilitating sponsorships for students. At this time, the continuous need is for more children to be sponsored.

The cost of $45 per month includes but is not limited to:

  • Complete curriculum / school supplies
  • Two meals per day at the schools
  • Full meals for students in boarding homes
  • All staff salaries (teachers, cooks, ground keepers, guards, nurses, and pastors)
  • Teacher supplies
  • Medical supplies and care
  • Costs related to boarding homes for students
  • Property maintenance costs

We would like to sincerely thank God for the support from our donors from across the world who have extended a helping hand toward this cause! Your contribution is helping to provide an education for those who otherwise would not be able to afford it.
